Sticks & Stones
a forest puppet show

Follow The Only Animal deep into the woods on February 13th, for Sticks & Stones: a forest puppet show.  A trail walk will reveal the secret strange creatures of the undergrowth, some tender and green, some ancient and craggy. Puppets made from stick, leaf and moss will show you the forest anew. The outdoor shows begin at 12pm & 2pm and are intended for kids under 10 who are enthusiastic hikers and accompanied by adults. Wear sensible shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Sticks & Stones is created by The Only Animal and directed by Kendra Fanconi, with Adeline Collective’s Katherine Binns, Mika Laulainen, and Robert Leveroos, and music by Nancy Tam

Sticks & Stones is a part of a year of art in, around, and in support of the expanded Mt Elphinstone Provincial Park. The Only Animal makes art with a deep relationship to place. Elphinstone Logging Focus protects key forests and habitats. Together we are making a stand for trees. We invite you to stand up for your forest. Go here to help.

This event is free but art-making isn't. Donations to The Only Animal are also gratefully accepted. Go here to help us make more work like this.

The Only Animal creates cultivates and inspires theatre work that arises from a deep engagement with place.
